First off, the box for this kit is about 30" by 18" by 5". It's huge. Within the box are three compartments containing the various sprues for the Falcon. Sprues are wrapped in celophane bags either individually or two to a bag. Clear parts are separate, as are the screws and vinly bits. There is a large decal sheet which includes the colored markings spaced around the hull of the ship. Experienced modelers may wish to leave the decals in favor of painting. The directions for this kit come in the form of a well illustrated booklet. The thickness of the directions is required due to the need to know where to place the massive number of small parts. Parts break-down appears to be excellent. Molding quality and detail is the usual high Fine Molds standard.

The two biggest pieces are the upper and lower hull halves. The bulk of the detail pieces must be applied to the surfaces of these halves as well as the rim around the saucer. Though most of the detail is concentrated on the exterior of the ship, there is still a decent amount of detail for the cockpit, gun control compartments, and gangway. The kit comes with a set of passengers in both seated and standing poses. A few Imperial Stormtroopers are also included, though they carry very small guns.

Again, most of the detail is on the exterior of the ship, but from what I can tell, it's definitely the most accurate Falcon kit on the market. Its crawling with detail. Pipes and greeblies abound. Even the landing gear wells are detailed. Is it worth the high price? Let's just say I wouldn't spring for one unless I had a steady job with the income to spare. But then again, I'm not a Falcon fanatic.
