This ship wins the award for most lobster-like craft in sci-fi film history. It's big, bulky, and quite ugly. The three largest pieces are hollow cast, the remainder are solid. This keeps the overall weight of the kit down. Detail is good on the larger parts, but kind of soft on the smaller ones. As a garage kit, the detail looks hand crafted, but is none the less acceptable. The resin used should be easy to trim and carve where required. The biggest issue I have is with the pipe and hinge tubing pieces. Several were broken in my sample, and will have to be replaced. These pieces also had the most flash and in general were less well cast than the other parts of the kit. |
