This is a fan produced replica of the PKD blaster from Blade Runner. Big, ugly, and without rhyme or reason, this is a truly fascinating weapon. The kit is solid resin. I hollowed out the block below the barrel and inserted 4 red diodes and a small battery with a toggle switch. The overall look is pretty decent, though the replica is a bit smaller than the actual shooting prop.
I used spray paint, mostly, for this model. Using a base coat of silver, I covered the metal pieces with successive layers of black and gunmetal. Once I had enough black on top, I scraped some off to create a chipped paint effect. I think I went a bit overboard on the handle. Oh well. I've never owned a real gun, and never expect to, so I have no reference materials other than what I see in the movies.
I sold this piece on eBay some time ago. Why? To get enough money to purchase a Doppelganger Productions version of the same weapon, of course!
